The Best of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
THE LUME Melbourne is an epic adventure into art. Why tiptoe through silent galleries to view masterpieces from afar when you can be immersed in the world of the artist on a grand scale?

The most comprehensive telling of our country’s story through art, Connection brings together First Peoples’ art, music and culture in an immersive new experience fusing the world’s oldest culture with the most cutting-edge technology.

Opening June 23, Connection features over 550 digital and original artworks from more than 110 visual and musical artists, representing the largest collection of First Peoples’ art ever assembled.

Spanning 3,000 square metres of immersive gallery space, with projections four storeys high complemented by an incredible suite of multi-sensory ways to experience Connection, visitors are invited to step inside the works of Australia’s most celebrated established and emerging First Nations artists. The works of Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Tommy Watson, Sarrita King, Kate Constantine and more come to life through an emotional soundtrack of First Nations artists including Yothu Yindi, Baker Boy and Gurrumul. Presented through the lenses of Land, Water and Sky Country, Connection maps the songlines that hold First Peoples’ diverse stories in a celebration of culture that every Australian can be proud of.
